What is a DigitalOcean Droplet?
A DigitalOcean Droplet is essentially a scalable virtual private server (VPS) provided by DigitalOcean, a cloud infrastructure provider. It is a lightweight, resizable computing platform that allows users to deploy and run applications in the cloud.
Why did we choose DigitalOcean Droplet?
We chose DigitalOcean Droplet because a VPS (Virtual Private Server) offers more control, flexibility, and performance compared to traditional web hosting. It allows for custom configurations, better scalability, and dedicated resources, which are ideal for our project needs.

The option we need is the basic regular plan at $6.00 per month because:
- 1 GiB of memory and 1 vCPU are sufficient, as we do not anticipate high website traffic.
- Transfer capacity is adequate since we use a CDN.
- 25 GiB of SSD storage is enough to store all our images and videos.
